General Information

Cherrygrove city is a city located in south-east Johto. It is the first city in Johto where players who began here, will be able to see their first Pokemart and Pokemon center. Upon entering, players will be challenged by an old man NPC, which will only fight them if they have 2 REP. This is also the first map where players have the option to fish for Pokemon if they have an Old Rod.

Points of Interest

The Manager NPC inside PokéMart have a quest for you, to recover stolen merchandise (dropped by wild Sentret at Route 29) from the store. For every 3 he will reward you a Pokéball.

Whenever special events are occurring, the Event Transport NPC will take you to the event map. Once the event is finished, NPC will no longer transport you there until next event is going on.

One of the 5 transportation points, centered on the train system, is stationed in Cherrygrove City. The train runs between 5 designated locations in: Goldenrod City, Saffron City, Viridian City, and Silver Town. At least the Zephyr badge is required to board the train, in addition to a Transportation Ticket or a validly active Train Pass; these are sold by ticket sellers, found in any train station.

Ferry System

With a transportation ticket or actively usable train pass, players may ride the ferry to any of the other 5 designated destinations. Badge requirements will correspond to each area, otherwise they will not be accessible without the required badges.
